Juvenile Justice

The Juvenile Justice System was put in place to prevent the youth under the age of eighteen (18) from being tried as an adult, after being accused of committing a delinquent or criminal act.

The school-to-prison pipeline along with the zero tolerance policy, assists with the funneling of children from the education system to the prison system.  The zero tolerance policy sometimes provides severe consequences, for minor offenses.#AceChangeEducate, Action Change Educate, #Bullying, Bullying, #JuvenileJustice, Juvenile Justice Some of the punishment handed down to our youth, due to the zero tolerance policy include:

  • Suspension
  • Expulsion
  • Arrest

Studies have shown there is an increase in the rate of girls, entering the Juvenile Justice System.  Our goal is to assist with preventing those young girls from re-entering the system, as well as changing those lives of those who demonstrate behaviors, which may lead to their incarceration.
